Summary:

The Technical Consultant position is responsible for providing post-sales
technical services and support for our customers. This will be a hands-on
position that will be the interface between our customers and our company.
The position is responsible for reviewing customer requirements advising on
hardware/software configuration, advising on network infrastructure
deployments, as well as providing on-site support, installation, upgrades
and training.

 

Responsibilities: 

*	Provide on-site installation and configuration of the system. 
*	Provide installation, configuration, and training of clinical and
nurse call interfaces.
*	Technical lead for IT requirements during the pre-sales process. 
*	Be the customer's advocate in the evaluation and qualification of
new hardware and software solutions 
*	Lead the design of the wireless network and manage the vendor
activity for installation and support. 
*	Work closely with Support and Engineering to ensure all customer
issues are resolved to the customers' satisfaction is a timely and efficient
manner. 
*	Travel - 60-70%.

 

Requirements: 

 

*	Bachelors in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering or related field 
*	Minimum 3 years hands-on technical experience where knowledge of
networking fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, FTP, DHCP, Telnet, routing, and
client/server computing) 
*	Minimum 3 years providing customer-facing support (e.g. in-person as
well as remote)
*	Intermediate knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Linux & Solaris).
*	Entry level knowledge of relational databases (e.g. SQL,
PostgreSQL).
*	Excellent communication skills, written and verbal 
*	A motivated self-starter with an ability to work unsupervised.
