Our proprietary speech understanding technology - operating on M*Modal's computing grid hosted in our national data center - is already redefining the way clinical information is captured in healthcare.

We are currently seeking a highly energetic, self-motivated, experienced and dedicated Data Center System Administrator with experiences in Linux and Networking.


Responsibilities include:

 *   Install new server hardware and Linux systems.
 *   Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment and devices.
 *   Support administration of servers and server clusters.
 *   Plan and support computing and network infrastructure.
 *   Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations and associated systems.
 *   Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.
 *   Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning.
 *   Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, anti-spam.
 *   Oversee software and network security. Configure Cisco ASA firewalls.
 *   Might need to carry a 24x7 support phone on alternating weeks.

Requirements:


 *   Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
 *   3+ years of  Linux systems engineering and system administration
 *   Experience with Oracle database administration
 *   Experience with  web server administration, including apache and tomcat

*         Experience in performance analysis, tuning and troubleshooting of Linux

 *   Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience needed.
 *   Systems: Red Hat Linux, Cisco
 *   Experience in design, configuration and administration of networks: Switches, Routers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency.

Desired Skills:


*         Data center experience running Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
*         Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, CCIE, RHCE, RHCT.
*         Knowledge of and ability to write scripts in bash or Perl to automate administration tasks.
*         Experience with installing and configuring Citrix Xen Server
*         Experience with ITIL practices, IT security experience/certificates will also be big plus (CISSP, CISA).
