 JOB DESCRIPTION:
 

 The Senior Systems Administrator position is a cross departmental role that
defines, delivers and maintains the systems, toolsets and environments used
throughout the company. Responsibilities also encompass the support and
monitoring of the hosting environment for our ASP offered products. The
position relies heavily upon the configuration and maintenance of a
primarily RHEL5 based environment. The successful candidate must have the
ability to maintain excellent working relationships across various teams of
Engineers and QA professionals. The candidate will be someone who can
leverage their skills in helping the team to design, enhance and deliver top
quality products. 
 

 The position requires excellent technical skills, innovation and the
ability to see the bigger picture with minimal supervision.
 
 DESIRED SKILLS AND CHARACTERISTICS:
 
* Extensive experience in Systems Administration including RPMs.
* Extensive experience in SMTP, Monitoring and Scripting.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to deliver results in a
fast-paced and dynamic work environment that requires multi-tasking &
production support.
* Well-developed analytical skills with experience in reviewing and refining
requirements, functional, performance and design specifications.
* Ability to work with software developers, Infrastructure Architects and IT
staff. 
* Proven ability to maintain a collaborative, team-oriented approach with
both technical and non-technical staff.
* Ability to understand the problem at hand and offer innovation to improve
delivery and processes.
* Ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
* RHEL5, My SQL, Oracle, BEA WebLogic, Perl, Javascript, Nagios, Subversion,
Red Hat Satellite server, Ruby, Apache
 
 QUALIFICATIONS:
 
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Systems is preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years experience in the sourcing, design, development and
delivery of complex hosting environments
* Experience in Monitoring, Trending Analysis and Alerts
* Working knowledge of Web based services, HTML, XML, and SOAP is preferred.
* Ability to work in a team environment is required
* Ability to innovate and think out of the box
* Demonstrated ability to apply new technology and processes in a cost
effective manner 
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Familiarity with CPAN.
* U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (U.S.)
