Timesys, an embedded Linux provider based in Pittsburgh, PA is currently
looking for a full-time Linux Support Engineer (description below). If

The Timesys Linux Support Engineer supports embedded software engineers
and application developers across a wide variety of industries and
market sectors via phone and e-mail. The position requires that customer
  issues are processed, debugged, and answered in timely manner. The
Linux Support Engineer will also be responsible for communicating with
the Timesys Engineering team to clarify and document software problems,
feature requests, and customer use cases.

Requirements:

-Customer support experience in a technical field. International
technical support experience is preferred.

-Demonstrable knowledge of Linux. This is a MUST, and will be tested
during the interview process.

-The ability to compile the Linux kernel and C/C++ Linux applications
using the GNU C compiler and Make.

-Software development experience with Python, Perl, PHP, C, and/or C++.
Experience with Eclipse is a plus.

-Knowledge of HTML and CSS. Previous experience with DocBook and XML is
a plus.

-Strong written and verbal skills.

-Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and general problem solving skills.

-Experience using various Linux distributions such
as Ubuntu, Fedora, CentOS, and Debian.
