Job Description:

JOB PURPOSE:
Designs, develops and tests software systems or applications in the area
of videoconferencing solutions.

KEY DUTIES:

- Responsible for contributing to the design and development of a
sub-system in a larger project with assistance from more senior engineers.

- Participates in design documentation reviews directly and indirectly
related to sub-system for which they have ownership.

- Works with more senior engineers to estimate the work effort involved in
completing the assigned projects.

- Team member to a large group responsible for the overall project
sub-system.

- Implements solutions that demonstrate a strong understanding of the
development environment and programming language, as well as, the ability
to debug complex problems.

FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL SKILLS:

- C,C++ programming languages

- Embedded Linux Operating System

- Working knowledge of networking protocols

- Linux driver development is desired

- Experience in Graphical User Interface design and development is desired

- Experience with IP-Multicast/IGMP is a plus

- Experience designing products that incorporate SIP and/or H.323
signaling protocols is a plus

QUALIFICATIONS:


- Master’s degree preferred

- Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of experience

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Experience working as a contributor to a team
