Junior Systems Administrator
ECI Telecom, Data Networking Division (formerly Laurel Networks) is
seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to assist in the day-to-day
operations of a mid-sized (200 users, 700 devices) IT environment. The
candidate will perform routine administration activities on Window
2000/XP, Active Directory, and Linux servers/desktops, complete system
backups, resolve assorted end-user issues and handle light-duty
facilities activities. Requirements include a BSCS or other technical
discipline, 1-3 years system administration experience, ability to
write scripts in an administrative language such as Tk, Perl,
VBScript, a shell, and familiarity with Microsoft/UNIX/Linux Operating
Systems, IP networking concepts, and networked computing environment
concepts. A strong work ethic and interpersonal and communications
skills, a positive can-do disposition, and ability to learn new skills
quickly are required. No relocation assistance offered for this
