[wplug-internet] In coin base who holds the wallet?

Coinbase holds the wallet.

I wouldn't worry about them trying any funny business, though. I've been
with Coinbase almost as long as I've known about Bitcoin, and I've found it
to be a reliable, reputable business.

Or if there /is/ concern about wallet ownership, we should worry about that
after we get the basic project up and running. Finding people to work on
this is a higher priority.

There actually wouldn't be all that much involved with creating a Coinbase
membership form; I think we'd just have to create some sort of "item"
representing a WPLUG membership and then use Coinbase's merchant
tools to make a button that people could click in order to purchase a
membership.

So, strictly speaking, Coinbase support is easy. It was Stripe (to accept
credit card payments) that gave us trouble when we tried this before. If I
remember correctly, either Pat or Joe was going to design some sort of
form that would include both Coinbase and Stripe support, but it didn't pan
out.

And then there is the clerical work. We have no database or other system
in place to keep track of our membership information; it's all done by hand.
There is nothing that the membership form can interact with to
automatically tack on a year when someone joins or renews, so the
secretary has to perform all of that manually.

So any way you look at it, there's a lot that could be done. I'm not much of
a programmer, but I'd be willing to contribute by writing documentation,
helping to test, or something similar.
