Chris and everybody,

My name is Bill and I live in Erie, you know that though Chris,
Anyways, I will being doing two quick presentations about 2 live CD's and
minor benefits of said CD's

1. The most popular will be Knoppix. I will show how it works, what nice
about it, and what not so nice about it. I will give out CD's, not many,
but some.
2. I have a Tech Tools CD that has some Linux distro's on it. I want to
show it, but will not give out copies of this CD because of other software
that needs licensing, just want to show some possibilities of LiveCD
mentality vs. nothing equivalent from MS.
3. I lied, guess I might do three, this depends on time. There is a live
version of Knoppix that you can put a MAME emulator on. It will fit on a
mini CD and if I can find some to burn to, I want to show that you can give
this one to young kids to play games. Yippee!!!! Games on Linux. Get'm
while there young

Subject: [wplug-erie] Reminder of approaching meeting

Just a reminder that we are just over a week away from our first general
users meeting.

To those who are presenting:

I anticipate the order will go a little like this: General introductions,
Live CD's, Distros, Software.

Bill, if you speak to the library please be sure that they have the
projector for us, we'll need it for the presentations.

Also, if all the presenters could send me a short bio, name, occupation, etc
just so that I can have a slide with some brief information about the
presenters.

Thanks,

Chris
