This is the letter I threw together....any suggestions, changes, etc?

I am writing to you as a faculty member of [UNIVERSITY] to ask if you would
be able to assist us in informing your students and faculty about our Linux
Users Group (LUG). If you have a message board or the like, we have flyers
that we have printed up or you could just forward this along to any students
or student organization that might be interested in participating in a LUG.

The purpose of our Linux User Group is to provide Linux users, developers
and enthusiasts an interface for interaction, as well as providing support
by making Linux resources and technical expertise available. Our LUG is a
voluntary, not-for-profit organization and is funded by its members.

Our first general users meeting is scheduled for March 28th in the Admiral
Meeting Room at the Blasco Library on the Bayfront. The topic for that
meeting will be Introducing GNU\Linux. At this meeting we will be providing
a whirlwind tour of 6 distributions; three major distributions and three
"live" CD's. We will also be discussing Windows analogs for Linux.

Any assistance you can offer us in getting the word out to your student body
would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to contact me at this
e-mail address with any questions or concerns you may have. Thank you for
your time.

Chris Teodorski
