[wplug-erie] Library Internet Use

Hello Everybody,

 

            The Blasco Library has finally gotten back to me about the use
of network connections.  Here is the ruling from their IT department.  There
will only be allowed one computer connected to the IP they will give me at
the beginning of the meeting.  Since I'm the current contact, I'm
responsible for usage of said IP address.  So there will be no funny stuff.
They will supply us an overhead that can connect to the computer just in
case we need to show the whole group something.  For those interested in
networking their computers, bring in a router, but it will not go on the WAN
connection.  This is a free service so please don't look a gift horse in the
mouth here.  I know we were all hoping to have internet connections for
free, but this is at least better than none.  For those of us who can do
things like SprintPCS and other cellular services, I would suggest doing
that.

            I hope to see all interested parties this Feb 22nd at the
meeting.
