Hello,

I am happy to see the excitement.

Couple things to consider:

1. Who is volunteering to be the local Linux guru? The tasks will include
configuring problematic hardware, create space on existing disk parititions so
that current OS is not broken.

2. What Linux distributions will be available to install? Are we going to pick a
specific distribution and help with installing that one, or are we going to
allow anybody to bring whatever distribution they want to have installed?

3. Who is willing to do the publicity to attract people? I will be able to do
publicity on Mercyhurst Campus and also i will try to get through to one of my
math professors, that now teaches at Penn State Behrend and is a big time Linux
user. He may recruit some people at Behrend.

4. Does anybody want to present during the installfest. Maybe some introduction
to the different Linux distributions, overview of the system and consequence of
installing it. To give newbies an idea what they are getting into.

What do you think?
