Here are the draft minutes for last month's December 14th board
meeting. Not much was accomplished, but we had already met once on
December 3rd.

CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 8:42pm. All five directors were present:

* Beth Lynn Eicher, Vice Chair

* Patrick Wagstrom, Treasurer
* Chris Teodorski, Director-at-Large

OFFICERS' AND COMMITTEE REPORTS

Nothing to report.

* Vice-Chair
The following are notes from Beth Lynn's report, including notes from
her trip to USENIX in San Diego:

Beth reported that she talked with the USENIX staff and board last
week. USENIX is offering discounts to promote their conferences.
PghSAGE is going to "reinvent" sometime next year. They are still
interested in working with us.
Beth gained a contact with OpenSolaris, who will send us media for
InstallFests and perhaps fly out a speaker for a meeting.
Beth contacted VMWare. They are very interested in meeting with us.
Beth may not be able to attend the January 11th, 2006 meeting. Bill
moved to excuse this absence, and The Board agreed.
David Allen Blank (sp) is invited to come back, and is willing (he
said "cool!"). Vance sent Dan V. Klein ("Flying Linux" talk) a video
of that talk. We got permission to redistribute it.
sendmail: might visit.
Beth went to a "how to volunteer" talk. They recommended appointing a
volunteer coordinator.
Something about PerlMongers.

Due to the closing of the meeting place, all other business had to be cut short.

We meet next at January 7th, 2006 at the InstallFest.
