They can vote for up to 27 days after their membership lapses. For our
charter members, the last day is Thursday, October 19, 2006.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I thought the annual meeting was on
October 14th. If it's going to be October 21st instead, then we'll
need people to submit their dues with their absentee ballots, else
their votes won't count! We'll need to make that clear to people,
including ourselves.

My interpretation is, Yes, they do. You mention section 3.3 of the
bylaws, which specifically says that they are no longer members after
182 days, barring the reinstatements and exceptions provided for. So
even if we had a lot of non-renewals, the lapsed members would still
count towards our quorum... which is why I'm pushing for a bylaws
amendment to lower the quorum slightly.

Like I said, dues don't start running out until September 22nd at the
earliest. So we've got some time yet. Keep in mind that the dues
amount might change at the nominations meeting. I don't want to make a
premature announcement until I know how much members need to pay in
dues.
