Stanley Slomberg, a long-time participant in WPLUG events and former board member, passed away last month. Many of you likely remember him from our installfests and other activities, where he always had a twinkle in his eye and loved sharing a cheesy joke. As someone who served on the board with him, I remember his enthusiasm for desktop Linux and his desire to help see it become popular across a broader community. It had been a long time since we last talked, and I'm sad to have missed the opportunity. His obituary is below and can also be found at: https://jewishchronicle.timesofisrael.com/stanley-slomberg-obituary/ SLOMBERG: Slomberg, Stanley C., passed suddenly, at home, on Saturday, April 4, 2020, age 72.
