If you're not aware, Ohio LinuxFest is less than a month away!
To be held October 10-11, 2008 and located in Columbus, this
is the closest major Linux event to Pittsburgh and as veterans
of prior years will tell you is a lot of fun.

Speakers include Ubuntu Community Manager Jono Bacon and
openSUSE Community Manager Joe "Zonker" Brockmeier, plus Linux
International Executive Director Jon "maddog" Hall, longtime
UNIX watcher Peter Salus, and many more. Catch the full
speaker and presentation list on the OLF web site at
<http://www.ohiolinux.org/>.

Registration comes in three levels:
  Enthusiast, which is entirely free;
Supporter, which costs $65 and gets you lunch and the nifty
    retro OLF t-shirt; and
Professional, which costs $350 and adds the Friday OLFU
    training sessions.

I expect that a number of people from the area will attend
again this year - a mailing list has been set up to
facilitate ride-sharing, room-sharing, and general talk about
OLF. Visit <http://www.wplug.org/mailman/listinfo/wplug-olf>
to join the list. Unlike other WPLUG mailing lists, this one
is temporary and will not be archived, so the only way to
follow the action is to sign up!

Hope to see you in Columbus.
