Topic: "Introduction to Aspect-Oriented Programming"
Speaker: Jonathan Daniel of Wellspring Software

There are several software engineering problems that cannot be
solved using procedural or object oriented programming practices.
When implemented these problems produce unmanageable and complex
code resulting in unforeseen bugs. Often the first draft of a
function is simple to understand and easy to maintain but as
requirements change and evolve the code becomes increasingly
complex. A program is often created to perform a single duty but as
needs change the program is extended to perform additional tasks.
Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) was developed to address these
problems by providing a structured way to allow the program to
evolve with the requirements.

The public is welcome, and no RSVP is necessary. More information
about this meeting will be available on the WPLUG wiki at
<http://www.wplug.org/w/index.php/Meeting-20080628>. If you are
able to help with setup, cleanup, or other duties, please sign up
in the "Meeting Staff" section. Thanks!
