*What is a Wiki?*

   "A wiki is a web application that allows users to
    add content, as on an Internet forum, but also
    allows anyone to edit the content. The term Wiki
    also refers to the collaborative software used to
    create such a website (see Wiki software)."

*What is This Event?*

Wiki Wednesdays is an opportunity to chat with
like-minded people, those of us interested in
collaboration and knowledge sharing. Get together and
discuss the latest in social software, ponder the
future of the movement, and eat great ice cream.

More specifically, the event is
   - People get together to chat, learn about wikis, find
     jobs, talk deals and generally cavort.
   - Socialtext picks a location, buys some ice cream.
   - You RSVP and swing by if you like.
   - Hurricane Help: Socialtext will forward all funds from
     donation jars at Wiki Wednesday locations to the
     American Red Cross, or you can donate online:
