Come one, come all to the first General User Meeting of the year two
thousand and two! Sources inside WPLUG leadership say that 2002 will
see the group come of age and prosper, and you are invited to the party!

Our first meeting of the year will be on January 5th, and begin at 10am
and continue until 2pm. It will take place at Carnegie Mellon
University's Newel-Simon Hall, room 1507. For maps and directions see
the meetings sidebar of the WPLUG webpage (http://www.wplug.org).

From 10am until about 11am attendees will be provided with donuts and
coffee, and encouraged to chat and mingle with other Linux users. At
11am, James Diskin will be giving a talk regarding the 5ESS 4ESS
telephone switch and it's relation to the birth of Unix. After James'
talk, attendees will be free to chat and ask questions and/or take part
in the planning of WPLUG's cluster/webfarm expirement (see this thread:
http://www.wplug.org/pipermail/wplug/2001-December/002216.html).

Hope to see you there!
