The Gates Center has a computer labs sponsored by Red Hat Inc. which run Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Fedora. Through this generosity, students have been given exposure to open source software and encouragement to participate in the Fedora Project. During this meeting we will discuss how this lab came to be and what it is used for today.

Beth Lynn worked at Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science 2000-2006 where she supported the predecessor to the Red Hat Labs at The Gates Center. During her time working there, she also was a student of Greg Kesden, the current faculty advisor of these labs.
